During the month of Ramadan, food tents flanked the street that lead up to Masjid Sultan. 30 stalls served up an array of authentic Asian and international cuisines: juicy racks of lamb, egg rolls, lemang (Malay rice cake), roasted ducks, Biryani, kebabs and many more. There was even a stall selling Malay Ayam Lemak Cili Api (Spicy Coconut Curry Chicken) flavoured bun, an adaptation of the Chinese chicken bun.
